چکیده

Reactive diluents, small monomers with low viscosity, and reactive groups are widely used in UV-curable materials for additive manufacturing (3D-printing) to optimize the processability properties of cured objects. Most these such as acrylic acid esters, derived from fossil resources possess strong irritation allergenic potential. Therefore, more benign bio-based diluents UV-curing high interest. Herein, we present synthesis novel monomeric compounds itaconic acid, diesters hydroxyesters. Depending on molecular architecture, viscosity reactivity can be significantly influenced. The most promising were formulated polyester itaconates evaluated. addition resulted a significant reduction an improved curing behavior. Finally, two successfully applied processes.

Design and synthesis of bio-based UV curable PU acrylate resin from itaconic acid for coating applications

UV curable PUA resin was successfully synthesized from polyol based on sustainable resource originated from itaconic acid (IA), isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA). A polyol was synthesized by condensation reaction of IA with 16-hexanediol in the presence of p-Toluenesulfonic acid (pTSA). The synthesized PUA resin was characterized for its structural elucidatio...

Study the curing behavior and mechanical properties of Pigmented UV curable epoxy acrylate monomers

The formulations contained different acrylate monomer with different structure and functionalities and TiO2, were applied to obtain pigmented acrylic films by UV exposure. The conversion and mechanical characteristic were correlated. The results showed that there is a significant interaction between pigment, reactive diluents’ type and mechanical properties of coatings. It seems that cured film...

Additive manufacturing methods and materials for electrokinetic systems

Fabrication of miniaturized devices is usually time-consuming, costly, and the materials commonly used limit the structures that are possible to create. The techniques most often used to make microsystems involve multiple steps, where each step takes considerable time, and if only a few systems are to be made, the price per device becomes excessive. This thesis describes how a simple syringebas...

Complex metallic alloys as new materials for additive manufacturing

Additive manufacturing processes allow freeform fabrication of the physical representation of a three-dimensional computer-aided design (CAD) data model. This area has been expanding rapidly over the last 20 years. It includes several techniques such as selective laser sintering and stereolithography. The range of materials used today is quite restricted while there is a real demand for manufac...
